Never underestimate the benefits of water
Water is considered as the universal solvent. As a matter of fact, even our own bodies are largely made up of water – about 70% to be exact. We are also encouraged to drink a minimum of eight glasses of water a day. This helps in offsetting the large amount of water lost by our bodies in a day. When we get sick, our doctor would usually tell us to drink lots of fluids to get better. It’s also settled that water has tremendous benefits to our body. And it is also evident from the fact that the complete absence of water for a few days would mean that you would be courting death. Drinking inadequate amounts of water, on the other hand, would lead to dehydration. Our cells need water to be able to properly function, and it also serves as a cleaning agent. Water helps flush out toxins and unhealthy substances in our bodies by expelling them through urination or defecation. Other benefits of water include improved kidney function, as well as reducing or eliminating the incidence of constipation as well. So don’t feel like drinking water is a burden, look forward to drinking it. Even when water is naturally tasteless, it’s the best drink you can give to your body. So try to cut back on soda or alcohol, and drink carbonated drinks and juices moderately as well. If you are able to do all this, you’ll find that your body will be able to function so much better.
